New Online: Make Your Altar Flower and Music Dedications
Our reduced flower budget for 2021 provides the perfect opportunity for the Immanuel family to help make-up the gap in funding while honoring special friends, family, and neighbors by sponsoring a special dedication on a particular Sunday. Our music and Altar flowers offer praise and a living sacrifice to God at our Eucharists, and your financial support for these offerings can provide you with the opportunity to highlight a loved one's birthday, anniversary, birth of a new child, or a remembrance for the dearly departed. Your dedication will appear in the bulletins, which are posted online for one week. In addition, we will provide space in The Almond Tree: In Brief news circular a "thank you" acknowledgement for flower and music dedications of the prior month.
Suggested donations for flowers are normally $80 for Zabriskie, $200 for Immanuel, and $250 for both chapels. The list below covers basic flower arrangements in any color palette (with the exception of blue or green). For music, Dr. Tavernier would select a composer and/or genre of music that would reflect the person being honored and/or the occasion. For example, a well-known hymn written by a French composer for a person with French ancestry, a pleasant song about spiritual birth to for a new baby, etc.. Music dedications for vocalists start at $25, and music for instrumentalists vary, based on availability and the instrument preferred; therefore, it is best to request a musician at least two weeks in advance.
Immanuelites are encouraged to split the costs with up to two other parishioners and/or their families. To make a memorial or thanksgiving donation for loved ones, simply click on the links below, then send an email to Aleta by noon each Wednesday, along with your color preferences and/or music theme.
On behalf of the Flower, Altar and Music Ministries of Immanuel Church-on-the-Hill, thank you.
