Join the staff and vestry of Immanuel Church-on-the-Hill for a special Farewell Father Sam Luncheon on Tuesday, November 29th, 12 Noon, in the Parish Hall of Zabriskie Chapel.
Guests are asked join us in offering gifts from the heart. In addition to an oversized card for everyone present to sign, we're have two SURPRISE gifts: Words of Wisdom, Wit, and Good Wishes. Whenever Father Sam needs a break to clear his mind on a busy day, he'll be able to reach into a custom-made box filled with 1. your words of wisdom -- advice (on any topic -- work, family life, a special talent or sermon of his, etc.), life antidotes, etc., 2. wit - any funny stories or quotes that will bring a smile to his face, and 3. good wishes for him and his family as he embarks on a move to a new city, new diocese, and challenging new role as rector.
Simply RSVP via email to [email protected] with your written contribution in the body of the email -- you can choose to be anonymous, if you prefer. Aleta and Agnes will print them on cardstock and place in his gift box.
Finally, if know that you aren't able to attend, please consider sending Aleta a cellphone video (1 - 1.5mins. in length) of you bidding Father Sam a fond farewell -- and yes, feel free to feature your whole family in saying "goodbye" to Father Sam! Any and all are encouraged to submit videos!
Deadline for RSVPs is Saturday, November 26th, 4 p.m. (we need a final count for the food).
